Lebanen is a tall, well-groomed and simply-dressed merchant from Bahlong. He is at once soft-spoken and unerringly polite in his speech, but also friendly and personable. He can discourse on a wide range of subjects, having picked up many stories during his travels, and will listen intently to many more. He is also well-endowed with money, which he uses to support causes he feels are worthy of attention. He wears a necklace on which is a stylised golden sun, the symbol of his trading company.
